If you haven't seen farmers on the roads yet, chances are you will soon.

Officials are asking you to use caution when sharing the road with farm traffic and slow moving vehicles.

Record-high temperatures are leading to an early planting season for farmers.

Studies show the most common types of accidents involving motorists and farm machinery are left-turn, rear-end and passing collisions...so use extreme caution when encountering a farm vehicle.

By the way, even with the warm weather most farmers are waiting to plant because crop insurance policies start April 6.

However some people aren't waiting ... five percent of the state corn crop is already in the ground.
