The widow of a Lake Saint Louis, Mo. man who died in a crash on the Champ Clark Bridge has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against a logging truck driver involved in the incident.

Kyle David Brown, 40, died Dec. 14 when his sport utility vehicle hit logging equipment that fell from the truck driven by Pleasant Hill, Ill. resident Kenneth Davis.

The lawsuit was filed April 3 in Saint Charles County by Brown's widow Kristen and their minor sons Alex and Ryan Brown.

Investigators said the westbound tractor trailer struck a guardrail along the bridge, forcing the log dragger equipment to break loose and fall into the eastbound lanes of the bridge.

The lawsuit claims that Davis was driving too fast for conditions and failed to keep a proper lookout.
