LOUISIANA, MO. -- A settlement could be in the works between the City of Louisiana and the family of the man shot by police in 2010.

According to the Louisiana Press Journal, you'll recall two officers shot and killed 39-year-old Timothy Chrisman of Vandalia after a high-speed chase through Louisiana on October 30th of 2010.

The family's federal civil suit claims police used excessive force during the pursuit.

The Missouri Attorney General's office cleared both officers of any wrongdoing last year.  In a letter dated June 7, they say the Missouri Attorney General’s office told Pike County Judge David Ash that there was no reason to charge officers Jody Blaylock and Bryan Richardson.
