Lewis Co. investigation ends in six narcotics arrests

LEWIS COUNTY, MO. -- After a year-long investigation in Lewis County, six people are in custody on narcotics charges, the Lewis County Sheriff's Office said.

Investigators from the Lewis County Sheriff's Office and the Northeast Missouri Drug Task Force made several narcotic related arrests Wednesday to conlude the investigation.

Jeremy S. Kelley, 28, and Erin J. Bartz-Thomas, 29, both of Knox City, Mo. were arrested on one count each of distribution of marijuana stemming from an April 2011 incident. Kelley and Bartz-Thomas are both being held in lieu of $10,000 cash only bond in the Lewis County Jail.

Lindsey L. McDowell, Jr., 20,  was arrested on two counts of distribution of marijuana stemming from two incidents in July 2011. He remains lodged in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash only bond.

Adam L. Hickman, 22, of LaBelle, Mo. was arrested on two counts of distribution of marijuana stemming from two incidents in August and September 2011. He remains in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash only bond.

Lenny J. Smith, Jr., 33, of LaBelle, Mo. was arrested on three counts of distribution of marijuana, stemming from an investigation in 2011. He remains in the Lewis County Jail on a $100,000 cash only bond.

Kirk D. Goodwin, 31, of Lewistown, Mo. was arrested on one count of possession of prescription medicine stemming from an October 2011 investigation. He remains lodged in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash only bond.

The Lewis County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Knox County Sheriff's Office and the City of LaBelle, Mo. in their investigation.
