QUINCY, ILL. -- A Quincy girl is recovering Wednesday morning after a run-in with a moving car.

Police say the accident happened just before 5 p.m. Tuesday, when a 4-year-old girl was crossing the street with three other boys in between a backed-up line of cars on North 18th Street near Broadway.

That's when investigators say she dashed out from between two cars and ran into the side mirror of a car heading North.

The three other minor boys she was with were not injured.

No adults were with them at the time of the accident.

She was taken to Blessing Hospital for visible injuries to her head.

KHQA will not release names of any minors involved.

We will bring you any further details as they are released.
