QUINCY, ILL. -- A Quincy man was hospitalized Thursday after he was attacked by a group of men.

David Lerum, 31, told investigators that at about 2 a.m. he was approached by a group of men in the 900 block of Vermont Street.

The men demanded money and then punched Lerum in the face. The men fled in a silver SUV missing one of its reverse lights.

Lerum was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Anyone with information about the robbery should contact the Quincy Police Department at 228-4470.
