DEKALB, ILL. (AP) -- Northern Illinois University officials say things were calm on campus Tuesday as students returned for final exams.
The campus was closed Monday after officials found a threatening note scrawled on a dormitory's bathroom wall over the weekend.
School spokeswoman Melanie Magara says extra police were stationed around exam sites and at other areas on campus Monday.
Investigators later determined there was no credible threat against the school's 25,000 students.
Magara says an investigation is continuing into who wrote the note.
