PIKE COUNTY, ILL. -- The boy scouts will get a brush with Country music stardom this week.

According to the Herald Whig, Aaron Tippin will be the special guest for the Oakley-Lindsay Foundation Sporting Clays for Scouting event Wednesday at Heartland Lodge.

Organizers say Tippin will perform for the 125 shooters in attendance at the 13th annual event and will even enjoy some shooting himself.

The event is a major fundraiser for the Mississippi Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Tickets for the evening meal are still available by calling the Boy Scouts at 217-224-0204 or toll free at 1-800-364-4799.
