Boys arrested for stealing from Quincy cars

QUINCY, ILL. -- Quincy police arrested two 15-year-old boys in connection with a rash of vehicle burglaries.

The Quincy Police Department responded to the report of a burglary from a vehicle in progress shortly after 1 a.m. Monday.

The two male juveniles were located shortly after the call was made. Both were taken into custody

Stolen property was recovered and both juveniles were arrested on burglary charges.

One juvenile was released to his parents and the other was taken to the Adams County Youth Detention Center.

The two teenagers were responsible for numerous burglaries from vehicles in the Northwest section of Quincy, according to a QPD press release.
