Great River First Tee to end program after funding crisis

QUINCY, ILL. -- The Great River First Tee will dissolve after nearly 13 years of teaching children the game of golf.

First Tee offers golf lessons and classes to more than 200 children.

Board President Mark Christensen says the organization must fold because its out of money.

Talks are in progress with Salvation Army Kroc Center officials to see if they will be able to take over operations of the youth golf program.
