MEREDOSIA, ILL. -- A Tri-State Superintendent is out of a job this morning.

According to the Jacksonville Journal Courier, after six hours of deliberation, the school board of the Meredosia-Chambersburg School District terminated Superintendent Ruth Schneider at the end of its meeting last night.

The board president put Schneider on paid administrative leave April 24 after learning of allegations in a mass e-mail that questioned her character.

The board has not made its reasons for termination public.

Schneider claims she is the victim of bullying, abuse and harassment.
