Students are gearing up for graduation, but they are not the only one's bidding Western Illinois University a farewell.

According to Tri State Public Radio, 142 employees are anticipated to retire by the end of June, 2012.

Of those 142 employees set to retire, 77 are Civil Service, 20 administrators and 45 faculty members.

Age and time on the job are just a couple of components contributing to the mass exodus.

Other employees are opting to leave because of issues with their retirement payout.
