Ursa man charged with battery, child endangerment

An Adams County man remains in jail today after his arrest on domestic battery and child endangerment charges.

Gregory Clayton, 23, of Ursa was arrested about 12:10 a.m. Friday in Mendon for a report that Clayton was in a domestic altercation.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office said that Clayton struck his girlfriend in a moving car that contained a small child in the backseat.

The vehicle also sustained damage, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Clayton was charged with domestic battery, child endangerment and criminal damage to property.

He appeared in court Friday and remains in the Adams County Jail on a $7,500 bond.
