Two Fort Madison men are in jail after their arrests on drug charges.

Kevin Emanuel, 35, and Alphonze Thouipais, 34, were arrested Wednesday of felony and misdemeanor charges.

Emanuel is charged with two counts of delivery of crack cocaine, possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine and ongoing criminal conduct. He faces up to 40 years in prison if convicted.

Thouipais is charged with possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine and assault on a police officer. He faces up to 12 years in state prison if convicted.

Their arrests come after the Lee County Narcotics Task Force made controlled purchases of crack cocaine which led to a search warrant being executed at Emanuel's home in the 1900 block of Avenue J, according to a Task Force press release.
