QUINCY, ILL. -- Authorities are looking for the driver of a white or light gray, full size pick up truck after it fled the scene of a hit-and-run crash in Quincy, Ill. Tuesday night just before midnight.
An investigation revealed that Jeff Patterson of Quincy was driving his Harley-Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Jefferson in the 600 block when a pick up truck, possibly a Dodge, pulled into his path. Patterson could not stop in time and crashed into the rear of the truck, according to a Quincy Police Department release.
According to witnesses, the driver of the truck fled southbound on 7th Street before EMS personnel and police arrived on the scene. The truck will likely have damage to the rear driver's side bumper and tailgate area.
Patterson was treated at Blessing Hospital for minor injuries and released.
