Orphaned baby goat finds new mom

BUSHNELL, ILL. -- In Bushnell, an orphaned goat has found a new mom.

The McDonough County Voice says this three-week-old Pygmy goat's mother died shortly after giving birth, but the kid has taken to this eight-year-old German Shepard named "Kia."

The owner of Hart's nursery, where the goat was born, says the goat's first steps were towards Kia who was watching near by.

Now, Kia keeps watch beside the goat's box, licks the kid clean after the owner's bottle-feedings and growls when one of the other dogs at the Nursery, gets too close.
