PALMYRA, MO. -- A Honda SUV struck a semi truck when turning onto Highway 61 in Palmyra at Ross Street.

Palmyra Police Department responded to the crash just before 3:30 p.m. on Monday.

According to Officer Jarrod Spurgeon, witnesses saw an SUV driven by Virginia Brown, fail to yield to the northbound tractor trailer as she was attempting to turn left onto U.S. 61 northbound. The tractor trailer was in the northbound driving lane when it was struck near the back duels of the trailer by the SUV.
