Simon will continue his EMA duties
ADAMS COUNTY, ILL. -- The Adams County EMA Director is taking on a temporary new job.
John Simon was appointed as the interim Deputy Director of the Adams County Ambulance Board Tuesday.
The current director, Tony Slater has resigned and will leave the post at the end of the month.
Simon will help with administrative duties to ensure a smooth transition during the rest of this fiscal year.
The board is also looking at whether or not to retain the deputy director position in the future.
Simon will continue his duties as the EMA director of Adams County.
