MACON COUNTY, MO. -- UPDATED: June 27 at 4:21 p.m.
Clinton J. Mitchell, 36, of Macon turned himself in to Macon County law enforcement officers Wednesday according to a release from Police Chief Steve Olinger.
Mitchell was taken into custody and is being held at the Macon County Jail in lieu of $50,000.00 bond.
Mitchell was wanted for assault in the 2nd degree and faces additional charges that include armed criminal action, felonious restraint and endangering the welfare of a child in connection to a May 28th incident where he was accused of assaulting a woman in the 50 block of South Wentz Street according to a press release.

Investigators in Macon County, Mo. are searching for a 36-year-old man accused of assaulting a woman.
The Macon County prosecutor issued a warrant for the arrest of Clinton J. Mitchell of Macon.
The warrant stems from a May 28 incident where investigators responded to the 50 block of South Wentz Street, according to a press release.
Police discovered that the victim was battered.
The victim, whose name was not released, required medical attention for her injuries.
Investigators said Mitchell poses a threat to the victim and is considered violent.
