QUINCY, ILL. -- A national food chain is looking at bringing its sizzle to the Tri-States.

A Texas Roadhouse spokesman confirmed Thursday that the company is in talks to bring a restaurant to Quincy.

The company's website currently lists management positions available in Quincy.

“We are interested in that area,” spokesman Travis Doster said. “We're working with a landlord, but nothing is 100 percent at this point. We don't have all of the T's crossed and I's dotted.”

If the deal falls through, Doster said that anyone hired locally would be shifted to different Texas Roadhouse locations.

Texas Roadhouse began in 1993 in Clarksville, Ind. The company has since expanded to 370 restaurants in 46 states.

City planning and development director Chuck Bevelheimer also said Thursday that the deal is still pending.
