HULL, ILL. -- The old grade school in Hull, Illinois would have sat there empty, but Lisa Smith had a life long dream of making it into something more.

More then a year and a half ago she bought the building and turned it into the Hull Community Center.

Since then groups, organizations, clubs and even old friends have come to visit.

Just this past November Smith added the School House Cafe. The hours for the cafe are 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and lunch goes from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

More projects are in the works for the center, which we could see them starting as early as this fall.

The Hull Community Center is just one of the many local organizations that was selected to receive a free weather radio from KHQA.
