Man charged with passing fake bills

A Hannibal man is in jail after his arrest on a charge that says he passed counterfeit money at local convenience stores.

Jametric Miller, 30, is charged with forgery and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is in jail awaiting his initial court appearance.

The Hannibal Police Department said it received several reports Monday and Tuesday that someone was passing the bills at local convenience stores.

The man passing counterfeit $100, $50 and $20 bills was later identified as Miller.

He was arrested Tuesday about 9 a.m. in the 3200 block of Marsh Avenue.
