MENDON, ILL. -- The 2012 Adams County Fair crowned its newest Fair Queen Thursday night.

17-year-old Montanna Neisen was named Miss Adams County Fair during the 47th pageant to kick off the week-long event.

Neisen will be a senior at Liberty High School this fall. She'll begin her reign with a full week of duties at the fair. In January, she will represent Adams County in the Miss Illinois County Fair Queen Pageant in Springfield.

First runner-up in the nine-contestant pageant was Kayla Power of Quincy, with Kayla Bunch serving as second runner-up.

Power, 20, a Quincy University student and graduate of Quincy Notre Dame, received a $400 scholarship. Bunch, 17, a senior-to-be at Quincy High School, receive a $200 scholarship.
