QUINCY, ILL. -- It's been about a month since the Quincy city council switched from paper to iPads.
The new machines have replaced mounds of paper reports and documents that council members have to deal with on a weekly basis.
So ... is it a thumbs up or a thumbs down for the machines?
We asked 1st. Ward Alderman Virgil Goehl to tell us if the new iPads make his job easier or harder to do.
"I started using it and I found that it really works good. I mean, I can look at it during the day. Somebody sends me a message or I get a message and I can call and do what I have to. It really saves a lot of time," Alderman Goehl said.
He says that this is the first computer he's ever had.
He credits his grandchildren with helping learn how to master the iPad.
