QUINCY, ILL. -- Dozens of Adams County community members came together Sunday in support of a local family who lost a great deal a couple months ago.

A benefit was thrown at Eagles Alps in Quincy for Pam and Keith Hinshaw, who lost their Payson home to a fire in June.

The fire completely destroyed the couple's home.

The money raised from the benefit will go toward rebuilding them a new one.

"Half the people here, I don't even know who they are, God bless them," Keith Hinshaw said. "Thank God for all the blessings he's given us. Everyday since this has happened, God has shown us a small miracle of some sort, sometimes big."

The Hinshaw's have stayed at the Town and Country Inn and Suites free of charge for the past ten weeks.

This week, they will move in with friends until they can rebuild their home.
