Quincy drivers watch out for work zone construction starting Thursday

Streetscape project for Kroc Center and Adams County Health Department

QUINCY, ILL. -- Starting on Thursday Quincy drivers will need to take extra caution as the last phase of a major construction project gets underway.

A construction work zone will be set up in the following areas:

-  3rd to 4th streets on Hampshire
-  4th street, Hampshire to Vermont
-  4th to 5th streets on Vermont
-  5th street, Vermont to Broadway

The construction work zone will allow the final phase of the Kroc Center/ Adams County Health Department Streetscape Project to be completed.

The project will start on Thursday, August 23 and is expected to last until December 31.

Drivers are urged to use caution when traveling through these areas.
