HANNIBAL, MO. -- Hannibal businesses should be on the lookout for funny money.

This after Hannibal police have received at least three reports of altered US currency in town since Monday.

Officers say it appears smaller bills are being altered or reprinted with a higher denomination on the face.

The faulty $100 bills have been passed at an area retail clothing store, a convenience store and a local bank.

If anyone has any information concerning the passing of these bills please contact the Hannibal Police Department at 573-221-0987 or online at www.hannibalpd.com/crimetips.
