Augusta man dies in Labor Day car crash

One man is dead after a two vehicle accident in McDonough County.

Sixty-year-old Dennis Coventon from Augusta died after the car he was driving rear ended another car just after 9 Monday night.

He then lost control of the vehicle, rolled several times, and hit a utility pole.

Coventon was ejected from the car. He was not wearing his seatbelt.
