Garage investigation ends in drug arrest

QUINCY, ILL. -- A Quincy man is in jail after his arrest Tuesday on drug charges.

Police arrested William E. Hanley, 34, on about 5 a.m.Tuesday at 1229 S. 18th Street.

This came just after the West Central Illinois Task Force served a search warrant at a garage located at 420 S. 10th Street in Quincy at midnight.

Hanley was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis, 500 to 2,000 grams with the intent to deliver.

Agents reported the seizure of nearly two and a half pounds of cannabis, scales, drug packaging and a vehicle.

Hanley was lodged in the Adams County Jail.
