Investigators in Ralls County arrested two men believed to have stolen $7,000 worth of equipment from a farm in rural Hannibal.

Daniel Dean Myers, of New London, and Christopher Lee Myers, of Hannibal are charged with two counts each of felony stealing.

The theft was originally reported in October 2011 from a farm on Sunnyside Lane near Hannibal. A hay rake and manure spreader worth $7,000 were taken from the farm and sold for scrap.

The owners of the equipment said they were using it in their farm operations during the time the thefts took place.

Both men remain in jail on $25,000 bond pending a hearing.
