House total loss after October 5th blaze.

SAVERTON, MO. -- It looks the like the cause of the October 5th Saverton fire may never be known.

The Hannibal Courier Post reports that the Missouri State Fire Marshal's office has labeled the cause of the fire as "undetermined."

The fire which investigators says started in an attached garage destroyed the home.

The elderly couple that owns the home have not lived in it for five months.
