MISSOURI (AP) -- Missouri election officials have their fingers crossed that voter turnout on November 6th will be better than in previous years.

They are predicting that 72 percent of registered voters will make their vote known this year.

The secretary of state's office says that if the numbers turn out to be true, it would be one of the largest voter turnouts in quite some time.

There are more than 4 million registered voters in Missouri.

A 72 percent turnout would be more than 3 million people casting their ballots on November 6th.
