Center, Mo. man dies in one vehicle crash

PIKE COUNTY, MO. -- A Center, Mo. man died at the scene of a one vehicle crash Friday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Jerry Lemons, age 58, was traveling westbound on Pike Co. Rd. 108 when he lost control of his Dodge pickup. Lemons swerved off the roadway before he hit two trees, traveled through a creek and crashed into an embankment.

Pike County Sheriff Stephen Korte pronounced Lemons dead at the scene at 3:46 p.m. Friday.

Lemons was not wearing a seat belt.
