QUINCY, ILL. -- A Quincy veteran celebrated a milestone Saturday.

Ken Logsdon served in WWII, Vietnam, and Korea, but Saturday he was celebrated for turning 90-years-old.

His friends turned out to help him celebrate his birthday.

Despite decades of military service, the occasion still marked a first for him.

"This is an overwhelming experience for me. I've never enjoyed such an event in my life. I've never had a birthday party so I've decided that this is the time so this is my 90th birthday," Logsdon said.

Logsdon may be retired, but he still dedicates his time to honoring other veterans.

He makes hand carved wooden door signs for each veteran that lives at Sunset Home.
