Deputy: Boy injured in dog attack

EWING, MO. -- Sheriff's deputies in Lewis County, Mo. are investigating an incident involving a child injured in a dog attack.

The Lewis County Sheriff's Office had limited information to release about the incident Monday.

Chief Deputy Sheriff Ron Power said the incident happened Sunday.

“All I do know is that a minor child that sought treatment at Blessing Hospital,” he said. “We've quarantined the dog.”

Sheriff David Parrish is not in the office Monday morning and could not be reached for comment. Power said he expects the sheriff will release more information about the incident later in the day.
