HANNIBAL, MO. -- Incumbent Missouri State Representative Lindell Shumake was elected to represent the fifth district.

Representative Shumake won the polls with fifty-six percent of the vote against another incumbent state representative Tom Shively.

Shumake is currently the Representative of the Sixth district in Missouri.

A redrawing of the fifth district's line included many counties in Shumake's current district.

Representative Shumake held a watch party at the Hotel Clemens in Hannibal on the night of elections to watch the results as they came in.

Members of his family, and other supporters were invited to the event.
