QUINCY, ILL. -- It was no ordinary meeting for the Quincy Rotary Club Tuesday afternoon.

A group of children from Washington Elementary School took a field trip to the Holiday Inn thinking they were eating lunch with the Rotary. Instead, they received some VIP treatment and a Christmas surprise.

Santa made his way through the crowd greeting dozens of children with special needs. Even better, Santa and Mrs. Clause brought them all gifts.

"We know a little something about all of them, so Santa and Mrs. Clause can personalize their visit with them too. So, it's going to be a fun day today," Sally Pool, the rotary president said.

Santa had help from the student's teachers this year, getting gifts they'd put on their wish list. This is an annual event for the rotary club and Washington School students.
