CAMP POINT, ILL. -- According to the Adams County Sheriff's Office, 27-year-old April Maulding was travelling Westbound on U.S. 24 outside Camp Point when she lost control three quarters of a mile East of IL 94 and overturned her Jeep Cherokee.

When the car left the roadway, it turned over because it struck a culvert in the ditch. The car landed on it's top.

Fortunately Maulding was able to get out of the Jeep on her own and was transported to the Emergency Room at Blessing, said the Adams County Sheriff's Office.

According to the release, April Maulding was later arrested and charged with failure to reduce to avoid a traffic crash and driving while license suspended.
