QUINCY, ILL. -- One of Sharon Otto's favorite parts of Christmas is gift wrapping, and she's really good at it.

For the past eight years Otto and her organization, the Alpha Chapter 109 of the Order of the Eastern Star has held a gift wrapping stand inside the Quincy Mall.

"We enjoy being together as a fellowship, we enjoy the customers that come in, they're always so friendly and we have a great time," Otto, said.

It doesn't cost anything to get your presents wrapped by Otto and her team, but they do accept donations.

"Whatever they want to give," Otto, said. "If they want to give a little or a lot, we'll take whatever they can give us and it just seems to work out really well for us."

All the money raised will go to local charities, organizations and scholarship programs.

"We're helping everyone and it's the idea of the more we make, the more we can divide it up to more organizations," Otto, said. "We know we're helping more, the more we can give."

And these ladies will wrap anything.

"We wrapped a 42 inch television, we did some chairs and we've done tennis rackets," Otto, said. "We kind of wonder what they're going to bring us and how we're going to be able to wrap it, so it's kind of a contest for us nearly everyday."

Otto and the Eastern Star team see up to 100 people a day. Last year, they raised almost $3,000. A number they hope to wrap up and exceed this holiday season.

You can find the gift wrapping stand right outside of Bergners in the Quincy Mall.

It's open from 10 a.m., until 9 p.m. everyday but will close at 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
