A paralyzed Fowler teenager will spend 20 weekends in jail in connection with the December 2011 crash that injured him and a passenger in another car.

Adams County Circuit Judge William Mays sentenced 18-year-old Luke Genenbacher to spend 20 weekends in jail beginning Jan. 5.

Genenbacher pleaded guilty to aggravated driving under the influence in the Dec. 16, 2011 crash. His truck struck the passenger side of a GMC with passengers Brian and Lisa Shrimp of Frankford, Mo.

Mays also gave Genenbacher 30 months probation and ordered him to pay a $500 fine.
