QUINCY, ILL. -- A LaGrange man is behind bars accused of burglarizing a Quincy church.

The Quincy Police Department received reports that someone was burglarizing St. Peter's Church shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

When officers responded, they say 32-year-old Christopher Kackley ran away from the church and into a nearby building.

He was arrested for burglary to a place of worship, possession of burglary tools and resisting a peace officer.

Kackley is in the Adams County jail.

Quincy police say this is the second police report at St. Peter's Church in as many months.

Last month, the church reported stolen money from locked donation boxes inside the building.
