Two arrested in connection with Hannibal church burglaries

MISSOURI -- The Missouri State Highway Patrol and Hannibal Police Department arrested 19-year-old Dylan R. Tate of rural Marion County Wednesday.

Tate was arrested in connection with a series of burglaries that occurred from November to December of last year.

A second suspect, 25-year-old Joshua S. Miller of Hannibal, was already being held in the Pike County Jail on an unrelated Ralls County Warrant.

A warrant for both men was served Wednesday charging both with burglary 2nd degree and a bond was set at $50,000.

Tate and Miller were allegedly involved in burglaries at First Assembly of God Church and Embassy Christian Center in Hannibal, two residential burglaries in New London, two residential burglaries in rural Ralls County, a church burglary in New London and another church burglary in Marion County.

Firearms, computers, cash, jewelry, power and hand tools, safes, electronics and televisions were taken in the burglaries and some of the stolen items have been recovered.

Miller is being held in the Pike County Jail while Tate is located in the Marion County Jail. Further charges are pending for both.
