MACOMB, ILL. -- The Macomb library is getting a big boost from a nameless benefactor.

According to the McDonough County Voice, an anonymous donor has offered up to $25 thousand dollars to go towards the Macomb Public Library's capital campaign. Click here to read more.

The donor says he or she will match any funds raised from now until February.

The Campaign for the Future hopes the community will pitch in to make donations to get the full match offered.

The library needs to raise nearly $800 thousand before June 30 to get a state grant for construction of a $3 million expansion project.

The Macomb Public Library is halfway towards its fundraising goal needed by the end of June in order to receive the state funding.
