JACKSONVILLE, ILL. (AP) -- Three judges in two counties have recused themselves from the case of a 21-year-old Jacksonville man who is facing arson charges for allegedly setting a fire in the emergency room of Passavant Area Hospital earlier in February.

A preliminary hearing on Tuesday for Brian Morris was continued until a judge could be appointed to hear the case.

Morgan County Circuit Judge Richard T. Mitchell and Associate Judge Tim P. Olson, as well as Scott County Circuit Judge Lois A. Bell, recused themselves because they have close personal or professional associations with the defendant's parents.

No one was injured in the fire, which occurred February 3.

Jacksonville police say Morris was alone in a room in the hospital's emergency room just before the fire. Police allege

Morris was being unruly before the fire broke out.
