HANNIBAL, MO. -- The Hannibal man accused of breaking into a home to assault and rob another man is headed to prison.

A judge sentenced Jesse James, 22, to 10 years in state prison in connection with tampering with a victim or witness and seven years for assault.

The charges stem from a Sept. 10 incident where James and Grant A. Baker, 23, entered the victim's home when he was sleeping and assaulted him, taking his wallet and vehicle.

James and his accomplice both pleaded guilty to the charges. A judge sentenced Baker to three years in prison.
