DECORAH, IOWA -- UPDATED: June 28 at 8:02 a.m.

The Decorah Eagle Cam will run as long as the eagles are visible.

We received a message that when they can no longer see the eagles the cam will be shut down.

Right now you can see them fly from the nest to the top of a nearby house and back again.

They have learned to eat on their own now.

Janice Hampton from Montrose, Iowa tells us in her message that she saw one eagle come to the nest and take a fish away from either the mother or father.  Janice says it enjoyed every bite!

The eaglets are almost ready to leave the nest!

Well, they've left the nest and are sitting on the branches near the nest, but you can tell that they are set to fly anytime now!

Thousands of you are are logged in and eagerly watching a live eagle cam in Iowa, and here is the link to watch the eggs hatch.

A raptor resource project is streaming a picture of an eagle sitting on her eggs on the internet 24 hours a day.

Any day now, the first of three eggs are set to hatch.

The male and female eagle parents take turns incubating the eggs.

The eagles should hatch in three day intervals.
