MACOMB, ILL. -- It was a weekend to remember for the farming community. Western Illinois University students helped put together the largest student run Farm Expo in the country. The 43rd Ag-Mech Farm Expo had people from around the Tri-States looking at some of the newest technological advances, and students possibly getting a start on their career path.

Families and vendors filled Western Hall along with the most up-to-date agricultural supplies. The Ag-Mech Club's Farm Expo was a great way for local businesses to get their name out there.

The expo was entirely student run by the Agriculture Mechanics Club at WIU. This is the largest student run farming expo in the country, allowing students to be exposed to a large number of possible future employers.

Andrew Nelson is the president of Ag-Mech Club this year. Nelson climbed the ranks of the club for the past four years immersing himself into the ag mech community. He said this expo will help him and other classmates find a career in the agricultural field.

According to Ag Mech Club Supervisor Bart Gill, this year's expo showed signs of improvement from previous years, and not much will need to be changed for next year.

The Expo concluded Sunday afternoon.
