QUINCY, ILL. -- More than one hundred years of Tri-State area history took the spotlight at the Gardner Museum Sunday afternoon.

It was the second year the Quincy Park District and the Historical Society of Quincy and Adams County teamed together for the annual Amateur History Road Show.

It was a history buff's delight, from baseball cards, family photos, steamboat posters and pictures of Louis Armstrong on a cruiseliner here in the Tri-States.

Fifteen booths lined the museum for the public's viewing, each with a different twist to our history.

"There's the comradery of interacting with each other and sharing information about specific collections, whether it be post cards or steamboats or railroads. We're just really excited to see how it's grown from last year to this year and we're already starting to develop plans for next year," Sherry Brothers, with the HSQAC said.

Admission to the event was a canned good, which will be donated to a local food bank.
