QUINCY, ILL. -- A local salsa brand is teaming up with a well known cable guy.

Red Cactus Salsa just announced the new face of its brand and it's Larry the Cable Guy.

The new products featuring Larry will hit the shelves within the next three months.

Larry's face will be on Red Cactus' medium and mild sweet salsa, stadium cheddar cheese dip, and white con queso dip. He will also be on two new products guacamole and salsa con queso.

"Larry the Cable Guy will bring our regional brand Red Cactus Salsa right here from Quincy and make it a national product because of his image," Red Cactus Salsa co-owner Tim Muehring said. "That's going to give us the growth and propel us on to greater sales."

The Red Cactus Salsa original recipe was inspired by creator and co-owner Steven Lehenbauer's Sweet Aunt Gracie many years ago when she ran out of sugar and used Sweet Sorghum Syrup.

Part of the proceeds from Red Cactus' products featuring Larry the Cable Guy will go to his Git-R-Done Foundation which helps children's hospitals and war veterans. The foundation is also an advocate for The International Hip Dysplasia Institute and its work to bring an awareness, prevent and cure the condition.
