The Quincy Public School District is losing another superintendent to a school in the Chicago suburbs.

Assistant Superintendent Trish Viniard accepted the superintendent position at the LaGrange-Highland School District 106 in suburban Chicago. She'll begin her job there July 1.

Viniard spent the past 15 years with the Quincy district including two years teaching at Ballwin Intermediate School, five years teaching at Washington Elementary School and eight years as an assistant superintendent.

The district is also currently without a permanent superintendent. Lonny Lemon resigned last year to take a position with a suburban Chicago school district in Arlington Heights.

The school board met with finalists late last year but couldn't come to terms with a new district leader. The board restarted its national search for a new superintendent.

Cal Lee currently serves as the district's interim superintendent.
